Match Report: VCFF saviour hard earned 90th minute win (3-2)

VCF Femenino ran out onto the pitch playing a high line and putting pressure on EDF Logroño in their own half of the pitch. Valencia CF Femenino took charge of proceedings from the off dictating both the play and the tempo breaking into the opposition box with ease while the opposition were waiting to hit on the break at any opportunity

Candela had a few efforts on target. As well as fellow teammates Asun and Jansen taking on their markers and Esther Kerlly R delivering crosses into the box.

Florencia Bonsegundo broke the deadlock on 25 minutes with a pin-point right-footed shot after a Tajonar poor clearance. José Bargues’side persistence paid dividends and minutes later Ana Torrodà almost doubled the advantage but her effort crashed against the crossbar over the half-hour mark. 

Javier Moncayo’s side tried to break up play by putting pressure on the ball every time VCF Femenino tried to bring the ball out from the back. VCF Femenino edged EDF Logroño at the break.  

Javier Moncayo made three attacking substitutions at half time in the manner of Nyman, Jade and Elloh. Ida scored the equaliser from a corner kick delivery on 56 minutes. 

Substitute, Marta Carro who replaced. Asun came close to putting VCF Femenino back in front but her shot went narrowly off target over the hour mark in the game.

Minutes later, the ball came back off the crossbar following a Marta Carro’s powerful drive on 69 minutes. Fellow teammate Jansen finally found the net following an excellent link-up play between Candela and Florencia Bonsegundo to set up Jansen who made it 2-1 for VCF Femenino with little under 15 minutes plus stoppage time left to play.

Elloh made it two apiece for the visitors after VCF Femenino fluffed their lines following a corner kick. Albeit Candela produced heroics right at the death with a magnificent right-footed drive to salvage and seal all three points for a hard-earned return to winning ways.
